When Anker’s SoundCore 2 went on sale, I immediately made the purchase so that I could compare an Anker Bluetooth speaker with those from other manufacturers. I love this speaker and would recommend to anyone. Just going 20-30 feet from my living room to bedroom it will cut out, I have to leave my phone in the same room as the speaker. It says 60ft but it has to be 60ft in an open room. The only thing I don't like about this speaker is the Bluetooth range. The battery life is great, it lasts me 2-3 days with moderate to heavy use. The volume is impressive, on 70% I can hear it nearly everywhere in my buildings very clearly. Its also very clear so when I listen to podcasts or sporting events it comes out very clear. I listen to most types of music and when it comes to edm, hiphop and rap the bass sounds fantastic. This speaker packs a serious punch for the price. I saw the ratings for the Soundcore 2 and decided to give it a try. All of the ones I found for under $30 had below average reviews. I decided to look for a cheap speaker for my music and podcasts. Quite why they haven't realised that most people respond to this aural assault by hitting the mute button (thus achieving precisely the opposite effect) beats me.I am a janitor and with all of the different movements I have to do my ear buds kept coming out. It seems that the advertisers think we'll take more notice of the adverts if they are louder. So the commercials have additional dynamic range compression to make them sound much louder. Here in the UK, there's a defined maximum peak level that may be broadcast - I'd expect the same is true in other countries. You may find the simplest way out of this is to switch into mono, as the dialog is usually more strongly in phase than the background.Īnd when the adds come on well I've started to mute the sound as I think the vol down button is nearing the end of its life with all the use. If you're listening in stereo, at realistic domestic levels, then you're stuffed. If you've got a 5.1 system then you can adjust the relative level of the center speaker.

It seems that more and more TV programmes are being balanced in the expectation that we all listen at home on home theatre equipment at levels similar to the cinema. So across the Western ocean I must wander" - traditionalĬable tv hmmmm becomming somewhat annoying,ĭuring a program when people are talking we adjust the vol up, any other sound affects vol down, so finger is pretty much constantly adjusting up down up down.Īre you saying that the dialogue is difficult to hear against the background effects/music/etc unless you turn up the volume? It's the case that dialogue is easier to distinguish from the background when the level is higher. "I spent all me tin with the ladies drinking gin, Sounds to me like the real problem is the commercials - have you consideredīuilding or buying a PVR and stripping them out? > wizzardery in it may be able to enhance the voices and normalize all
